Solstas Lab Partners announced Wednesday they are expanding in High Point in the city's largest job creation project in 13 years. The medical and diagnostic laboratory company will expand its operations; adding as many as 500 new jobs in the next five years.

Bank of America is selling several buildings in Charlotte and New York City. It's selling the 46-story Hearst Tower on North Tryon Street, the Fifth Third Center on North Tryon and a building in New York it acquired with its purchase of Merrill Lynch in 2009.

Caterpillar Inc. could be coming to the North Carolina coast. The Wilmington Star News reports the company is being recruited by state officials to build a plant in an industrial park that sits on the Brunswick—Columbus County line.
