Ground to be broken on Duke Cancer Center
The Duke Cancer Center is scheduled to open in 2012.
DURHAM -- Gov. Bev Perdue and other officials will be on hand Friday as ground is broken on the new cancer center at Duke Medical Center.
The center will serve thousands of new patients and offer upgraded amenities.
It will also bring about 1,500 jobs to the area during the building process and create an estimated 1,000 permanent jobs once it’s complete.
The Duke Cancer Center is scheduled to open in 2012.
