A Hoke County mother said her daughter was taken home to the wrong bus stop. She wants to make sure this doesn't happen again. Hoke County School officials answered some questions by phone, but would not go on camera or send a written statement.

At least four people are in the hospital after an explosion from a gas leak in Fayetteville Thursday. It happened at the J.P. Riddle Stadium on Legion Road. Initial reports say a propane truck exploded but when crews arrived the explosion was due to gas leak in the building.

A Fort Bragg soldier who lost his arms and legs in an explosion in Afghanistan last month is showing more signs of improvement. SSgt. Travis Mills posted this video on his website, show that he can move on his own, roll over and even sit up. Mills has had several surgeries and is now being treated at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Police are investigating human remains that they say may be the body of a missing woman. They were called to the scene off of Gregory Street where a passerby found the body Wednesday. The body could be linked to Denika Jones who hasn't been seen since earlier this month.

A bear was spotted Wednesday morning in Fayetteville. Police say the bear was seen in the area of Adams Lake apartments on Fisher Road near Lakewood Road.

PFC Kelli Bordeaux has been missing since April 14. Since Bordeaux went missing, Mindy Wilson and Tina Turner have dedicated themselves to finding this 23-year-old soldier. The two women said they do not know Kelli or her family, but in order for her to be brought home safely, she cannot be forgotten.

Cumberland County rewrote its code on animal ownership in Monday night's board of commissioners meeting. The county has long had issues with animals, particularly dogs. Some vets say an unintended effect could be a rise in rabies cases.

Some Eastover residents are not in favor of a proposed 260-home neighborhood in their area. They said it would destroy the rural-like feel of their community. Eastover resident Matthew Wilson moved into his home three months ago. He now said he's not getting what he bargained for.

The Cumberland County Board of Commissioners is expected to pass new rules at its meeting Monday night, restricting the number of pets people can keep. Pet owners living on less than a half acre could not have more than three dogs and apartment dwellers couldn't have more than two.

Two people were killed Thursday when their car crossed a median and crashed into an oncoming SUV. People on the scene said two people were in the SUV at the time. One woman suffered a broken leg and the other was taken out through the back window.
