Cary suspect tries to hit officer with car

CARY, N.C. – For the second time this week, a police officer in Wake County has been involved in a shooting incident.
The shooting happened in Cary, in the parking lot of the Buffalo Lanes Bowling Alley on High House Road.
Maj. Tony Godwin said that police were trying to arrest someone following an investigation and the man tried to drive off.
"The suspect struck the officer's vehicle, the officer fired one shot into the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident,” said Godwin.
No one was injured in the incident. Godwin said the man they arrested was treated and then released by EMS. He is in custody, said Godwin.
Investigators have not said what police were investigating when they tried to make the arrest.
The names of the suspect and the Cary Police officer involved have also not been released.
