CHARLOTTE -- The Carolina Panthers are getting ready for next year by making some changes. The team changed its logo for the first time since it launched in 1995.

Officials say the new logo is more aggressive, contemporary and three-dimensional. The changes were made by the NFL's creative department. The team will transition to the new logo during the 2012 season.
