FAYETTEVILLE—A new billboard in Fayetteville aims to reach out to nonbelievers.

A local Christian group, Save America First, Evangelize the World, put up a billboard Friday promoting Christianity.

Billboards promoting atheist messages popping up around the country inspired Founder Pastor George Lucas to put up his own sign, featuring Bible verse John 3:16. The billboard is on Highway 301 in Fayetteville and Lucas hopes on day it will reach folks all across the country.

"I hope to put up a million billboards, in every town, we want to put up a billboard in every town in the United States of America," said Lucas.

Lucas said his group was up to afford the sign with the help of like minded sponsors.
