RALEIGH – N.C. House member Bill Faison will announce his bid to be the next governor of North Carolina Saturday.
His spokeswoman said he will make the announcement at the Greensboro hotel where state Democrats are holding their annual winter dinner.
He suggested in November 2011 that Gov. Bev Perdue wouldn't seek re-election.
By him entering the race, it assures there will be a May 8 Democratic primary, since Lt. Gov. Walter Dalton announced he is running as well.
