Snow falls in northern NC

By: Tracey Early & Web Staff

The wintry mix spared parts of the News 14 Carolina viewing area but people living in counties north of the Triangle woke up to snow.

The snow fall reached as much as three inches in some areas.

There was one to three inches in a seven county radius. According to the State Highway Patrol, there were minor accidents in northeastern areas. Cars were sliding off the roads because of slick conditions.

In Franklin County, Granville County, Warren County and Vance County were under a winter weather advisory until 7 a.m. Friday.
